My friend Crystal and I drew a picture of our two characters in Open Canvas. Figuring out the brush settings is rather difficult, but it was still enjoyable. We decided to draw some original characters (mine is the one on the left, Sakuya, and hers is the right, Eos) in flamboyant outfits. In my case, I just kind of drew Sakuya as a female. I think he enjoyed it.
Finally, a new upload! I’ve been meaning to upload at least one a day, but work has kept me quite busy the past week so I’ve been extremely lethargic. At last, here is a painting of a sky. It was good practice and I enjoyed the fact that I couldn’t really go wrong with anything I did because they’re so organic.
I apologize for the large amount of time it took me to post something new, but I spilled stuff on my laptop and it had to go into repair, so I had no way to work on these more.
Today I bring you an effort that took me about three hours. It’s not perfect, but I’m happy with it considering I haven’t done anything in awhile.
I painted this in Photoshop while watching Clerks and the Haunting in Connecticut with Drew. It’s funny; horror movies don’t really scare me, themselves. They just remind me of how mortal all of us are. How we’re just skin, and bones, and intestines, and flesh and everything else that can and will decay with time. But still we wait for things that we don’t even know will make us happy, as if we have enough time on this Earth to wait. That’s what I’ll think of every time I see this painting. How pleasant.
Introduction
Hiiiiiiiiii. This is what will soon be a sketch blog. Its purpose is to motivate me to draw more often. Let’s see if it succeeds.
